Dr. Riedler’s Path to Facial Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics

Born and raised in San Diego, Dr. Riedler graduated from Harvard University with honors in neurobiology and a foreign language citation in Spanish. She earned her medical degree from the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine, where she also completed a 5-year head and neck surgery residency program.

Before joining La Jolla Cosmetic’s surgical practice and medical spa, Dr. Riedler rounded out her training with a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Sykes, former president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Today, Dr. Riedler’s facial plastic surgery expertise is well-regarded throughout Southern California, and she is considered an integral part of San Diego’s most-awarded med spa.

As part of her dedication to advancing the fields of aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery, Dr. Riedler has published a breadth of medical articles focusing on subjects such as dermal fillers, facelift surgery, and rhinoplasty. As a top facial plastic surgery specialist, Dr. Riedler devotes herself to her practice and is passionate about delivering the best care to all patients she encounters. She became fluent in written and spoken Spanish after spending the summer after her first year of medical school in Guatemala as part of a Spanish immersion program. During her training at LA County Hospital, Dr. Riedler predominantly cared for underserved, Spanish-speaking patients. She is a certified medical interpreter, and being bilingual enables her to offer consultations in both languages to accommodate her patients.

Outside the Office

When she’s not helping patients look and feel fabulous, Dr. Riedler can be found baking, cooking, cycling, surfing, and spending time at San Diego’s stunning beaches. She also has a heart for music, having served as first violinist for the Harvard Pops Orchestra and as a Harvard TAPS Dance Company member.
