Job Summary

The Medical Assistant is responsible for achieving the following goals: (1) provider revenue and (2) patient satisfaction. In addition, the MA exemplifies our core values.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintenance of a clean and adequately stocked clinical environment.

Daily restocking of exam rooms.

Timely coordination of patient visits with providers in clinic environment.

Assist provider with patient procedures (lasers and administering injectables).

Clean and prepare exam rooms based on scheduled procedures.

Clean and sterilize instruments.

Room patients and provide any necessary prep required for treatment.

Procedure photo documentation.

Patient pre and post op phone calls.

Actively handle immediate patient phone calls.

Administrative tasks.

Present fees and collect payment prior to treatment.

Assist with incoming phone calls.

Participation in CPR re-certification.

Obtain photo consents for in-office and/or internet use.

Maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance within the practice.

Effectively educate and communicate with patients during appointments in order to contribute to an overall positive patient experience.

Support provider in hitting required sales metrics.

Navigate different software systems throughout the patient experience.

Participate in weekly touch bases with the Practice Manager and Lead MA.

Collaborate effectively with other roles on site to meet patient satisfaction requirements and hit sales metrics.

Actively participate and engage in weekly meetings and trainings.

Actively work with Medical Assistant Lead and Practice Manager to handle patient complaints and concerns in a timely manner.

Assist PM with clinical supply inventory count and ordering.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to multitask and perform tasks accurately and consistently.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA.

Ability to establish and maintain a professional atmosphere for patients and employees.

Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.

Warm, friendly attitude with excellent and professional patient interaction skills.

Proactive approach to problem solving and adaptable to different situations.

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

BLS certification (preferred).

Certified Medical Assistant (preferred).

At least 2 years related experience (preferred).

OSHA & HIPAA certification (preferred).

Phlebotomy experience (preferred).

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Prolonged periods of standing for up to 8 hours at a time.

Travel Required:

One location.
