Hayley Sims, Medical Assistant

As a medical assistant, Hayley assists our Providers during their clinic days. She helps room patients, sets up procedures, assists during procedures, draws up injections, and reaches out to our patients after their visit to make sure they are recovering well.

Hayley graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a degree in Psychological & Brain Sciences, B.S. in the Spring of 2022. After graduating from UCSB, she continued to take additional classes at the city college to prepare for Physician Assistant school. While there, her coursework included Human Anatomy & Physiology with lab, microbiology, human biology, etc. Her interest in Aesthetic Medicine is well supported by her artistic background as well. She joined the La Jolla Cosmetic Medical Spa team in June of 2023.

When she’s not at work, you’ll find Hayley surfing, practicing yoga at the beach, or working on one of her paintings. If she had a month off, she’d fly home to Yokohama, Japan, to be with family. A fun fact about Hayley is that she’s bilingual and speaks Japanese fluently.

If she wasn’t a medical assistant, she’d work at a surfer’s hostel and participate in overseas philanthropy. She loves the ocean and is passionate about serving communities in need. One of her favorite quotes is, “The concept of detachment is not that we own nothing but rather that nothing owns us.”
