Kara Pennington, PA, MMS, is an experienced and trusted Physician Associate with nearly a decade of full-time work in aesthetics.

Kara earned her Master of Medical Science and PA degree from Stanford University School of Medicine and began her career in family medicine before transitioning into cosmetic dermatology and aesthetic medicine. Previously was at La Jolla Cosmetic from 2020 to 2022. During her time here, she earned an impressive 97.4% patient satisfaction score and became known for her compassionate care and eye for natural, beautiful results. She temporarily stepped away to serve as Head of Clinical Research at a cutting-edge aesthetics company, where she explored innovative regenerative treatments—but ultimately felt pulled back to what she loves most: connecting with patients one-on-one and helping them feel confident in their skin. Kara offers a wide range of treatments including Botox, dermal fillers, SkinVive, and advanced skincare, and is especially passionate about regenerative aesthetics.
Outside the treatment room, Kara enjoys the San Diego sunshine, relaxing at the beach, discovering new coffee shops, and spending time with her dogs and loved ones.
